About Me

My passion for technology ignited at age 11 when I built my first computer. This early exposure to hardware and problem-solving laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong career in technology.

Eight years in the U.S. Army as an Information Security/Cyber Security Professional and System Administrator taught me leadership, discipline, and strategic thinking. During my service, I pursued education in Applied Technology with a concentration in Computer Science, demonstrating my commitment to continuous learning even in demanding environments.

A 2020 SVA Google Scholar and two-time Grace Hopper Woman of Color Tech Scholar, I hold a Master's in Information Technology with a concentration in Web Design and Development from University of Denver, where I simultaneously earned a Graduate Certificate in Software Design and Programming, culminating in a 4.0 GPA and receiving an Academic Excellence Award. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Oregon State University-Cascades, and earned an A.S. in Applied Technology with a concentration in Computer Science from Central Texas College while serving in the Army.

With over 16 years in tech and 9 years of coding experience, I specialize in full-stack development, leading teams, and delivering high-quality solutions in collaborative environments.

When I'm not coding, you'll find me exploring Oregon's outdoors through hiking, kayaking, and trail running. I'm passionate about mentoring young girls and underrepresented groups in computer science.
